The short version
- You own your business. Your domain name, your logo, your photos, your words, your customer list. All yours, before and after.
- Take it anywhere, any time. Move your domain wherever you like, take every image with you, and copy the words off your pages and paste them straight into whatever comes next. No permission needed, no fee.
- The AI chat stays ours. It's our software. It works for you the whole time you're with us, and it switches off when you go.
- $499 builds it. You only pay after you've seen it and said yes.
- $60 a month keeps it running — hosting, security, the AI chat, and small changes whenever you need them.
- Want it redone later? We'll quote it. A redesign is a new job, not upkeep.
- 30 days to change your mind. Not happy in the first month after launch? Full refund, and you keep your domain and your logo.
- Leave whenever after that. Your last payment covers 30 days, then it stops. We hand you your domain and your files.
The rest of this page is the same thing said carefully. If anything below surprises you, call (604) 330-1012 before you agree to it.
1. What we build
A website for your business, a logo if you need one, and Site Chat — an AI assistant that answers questions from your visitors using information you give us. We host it, keep it online, and keep it up to date.
We build from what you tell us on the intake form and anything you send us afterwards. Photos, a logo, your prices, your hours — the more you send, the more it looks like your business and less like a template.
2. What it costs
- $499 CAD, one time, to design and build it. Payable only after you have seen the finished site and approved it.
- $60 CAD a month after it goes live, for hosting, upkeep and Site Chat.
- Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST/PST where it applies.
- Payment plans are available on the $499 if you ask before we start.
If you're selling products online
A shop is included at the same $499, on one condition: you add the products. We build the store, set up your categories, connect card payments, and load your first few products so you can see exactly how it's done. From there you add the rest yourself, from the same simple screen you use to change your hours — photo, name, price, done.
That's not us being lazy. Building a shop is a fixed job we can price honestly; typing in three hundred products is not, and it's the part that would force the price up for everyone. Nobody knows your products better than you do anyway, and you'll be adding new ones long after we've finished.
Included at $499:
- A working shop with a proper menu — up to 12 categories, set up the way you group things.
- Card payments connected, so you can take money on day one.
- Your first 5 products loaded by us, as the pattern for the rest.
- As many products as you like after that, added by you. No per-product fee, ever.
- Shipping options and Canadian sales tax set up for where you sell.
Quoted separately, and always before any work starts:
- Us loading your catalogue for you, if you'd rather not.
- More than 12 categories, or a catalogue in the hundreds that needs a bulk import.
- Product options that multiply — six sizes in four colours — and stock counts for each.
- Subscriptions, memberships, wholesale pricing, or selling in more than one currency.
The money goes straight to you.Your shop runs on your own Stripe account. Your customers pay you, the money lands in your bank in a couple of days, and Stripe takes their fee — about 2.9% plus 30¢ a sale, which is theirs, not ours. We never touch your takings and we don't take a cut of anything you sell.
You open the Stripe account yourself, and we'd rather you did. Stripe asks for your banking details, your ID and personal information about you as the owner — that is yours, and it should never pass through us. It takes about fifteen minutes and Stripe walks you through it. Once it's open you give us a key that lets your shop take payments and nothing else. We can't see your bank details, your statements or your payouts, and that is deliberate.
If you'd rather not do it alone, we'll sit on a call and talk you through it while youtype — that's consulting and we'll quote it, same as any other extra. What we won't do is set it up as you.
Or we run the shop for you
Some people don't want to touch any of it, and that's fair — if you're making the product, packing the orders and answering the phone, the last thing you need is an evening of typing. Fully managed is a different price and a proper conversation, not a box you tick on a form.
Managed means we do the work you'd otherwise be doing:
- Your whole catalogue loaded and laid out by us, however many products that is.
- New products added, prices changed and sold-out items pulled when you tell us — you send a photo and a price, we do the rest.
- Seasonal changes, sales and featured products set up for you.
- Someone who knows your shop, rather than a ticket queue.
It's priced monthly on top of the $60, and the number depends entirely on how big your catalogue is and how often it changes — a shop with 40 products that turn over twice a year is not the same job as 600 that change weekly. Tell us roughly what you've got and we'll give you a real figure before you commit to anything. Your Stripe account is still yours to open either way; that part never changes.
Some things cost money that isn't ours: a domain name is roughly $20–$25 a year, and online stores pay their payment processor a fee on each sale. We tell you about any of these before you commit to them, and we don't mark them up.
3. The 30-day guarantee
If you're not happy in the first 30 days after your site goes live, email us and we refund the $499 build fee and any monthly you've paid. In full. No forms, no retention call, no argument.
You keep your domain and your logo files either way — we are not going to hold your business hostage over a refund. We'd genuinely rather give you your money back than have you paying for something that isn't helping.
After the first 30 days the monthly is month to month. Cancel any time and your final payment covers the next 30 days, then it stops. We don't refund part-months, and we don't bill you again after that.
4. Before you pay: the preview
We build the site and send it to you to look at. If you like it, you pay the $499 and we put it live. If you don't, you pay nothing and we don't put it live. There is nothing to cancel and no invoice either way.
Changes before launch. Two rounds of changes are included — tell us what to fix, we fix it, you look again. That covers almost everyone. If you want the whole thing taken in a different direction after that, we'll quote the extra work rather than quietly stop replying.
We need things from you.If we ask for photos, prices or your hours and don't hear back for 30 days, we'll park the project and let you know. Nothing is lost — say the word and we pick it straight back up.
5. What the $60 a month covers
Included, every month, at no extra charge:
- Hosting, the security certificate, and keeping the site online.
- Security patches and platform updates. You will never see an update notice.
- Site Chat, answering your visitors, with your information kept current.
- Small changes whenever you need them — new hours, a price change, swapping photos, adding a service, a seasonal notice. Email or phone them in.
- Backups, and putting the site back if something breaks.
Not included — these are quoted separately, and always before any work starts:
- A redesign or a new look. If you come back a week after launch and want it done differently, that's a new job and we'll price it for you.
- New sections or pages beyond what we originally built.
- New features you didn't ask for at the start — a booking system, a members area, or a shop bolted onto a site that was never built to sell.
- The store extras listed in section 2 — bulk loading your catalogue, more than 12 categories, product options and stock counts, subscriptions or wholesale pricing.
- Writing your content for you, ongoing photography, or ad campaigns.
- Fixing something you or someone else changed outside of us.
"Small change" means what it sounds like — a job measured in minutes, not days. We are not going to nickel-and-dime you over an extra paragraph, and we're not going to rebuild your site for free either. If something sits on the line, we'll tell you which side it landed on before we do it.
6. Who owns what
This is the part people get burned on elsewhere, so here it is plainly.
Yours
- Your domain name. Registered to you, even when we buy it for you. Move it to another company any day you like — we'll transfer it on request, free, and we won't make it difficult.
- Your logo. Once the $499 is paid, the logo we design is yours outright, to use anywhere — trucks, shirts, invoices, signs. We'll hand you the original files.
- Every image on your site. The photos you sent, and any picture we made for you. Download them, print them, put them anywhere.
- The words on your pages. Yours. Copy and paste them straight off your site and use them wherever you want — a new site, a brochure, a Facebook page. You don't need to ask us.
- Your prices and your reviews. Obviously, but stated.
- Your customers. Every enquiry, message and phone number that comes through the site is yours. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it to market to anyone.
- Your business name and brand. Obviously — but stated, because some agreements quietly say otherwise.
Ours
- Site Chat — the AI assistant that answers your visitors. Ours: how it's built, how it's trained, and how it works.
- The system that builds and runs your site — the machinery behind it, not what's written on it.
- Anything we made before you arrived.
You get to use all of it for your business for as long as you're with us. What you can't do is copy it, sell it, or hand it to somebody else to run.
What you'd take with you
If you ever leave, you take the things your business is actually made of. Your domain moves wherever you point it. Every image comes with you. The words on your pages are yours to copy and paste into whatever you build next, and every enquiry you've ever had is yours to keep. That is exactly what the next person would need to set you up somewhere else, and we hand it over free, on request, without making a fuss about it.
The one thing that doesn't come with you is the AI chat. That's our software — we built it, we run it, and it works for you the whole time you're with us, the same way a phone works while you're on a plan. It switches off when you go, and it isn't part of the handover.
Everything else on this page is yours. If any of that isn't how you want it, tell us before we start rather than after.
7. If you want to leave
- Cancel any time. Your last payment covers the next 30 days — no penalty, no exit fee, no phone call to talk you out of it.
- We transfer your domain wherever you tell us, and send you your logo files and every image off your site.
- The site stays up for those 30 days, so you can copy the words off your pages at your own pace.
- Site Chat switches off, because it's licensed, not sold.
- The site comes down at the end of that period. We keep a copy of your content for 30 days after that in case you need it, then delete it.
- If a payment fails we'll chase you for 14 days before anything goes offline, and we'll always email first. Nothing goes dark without warning.
8. Your side of it
- Everything you send us has to be yours to send. Photos pulled off Google or a competitor's website are the fastest way to get us both a letter — if you're not sure where a photo came from, say so and we'll use something safe.
- What you tell us about your business has to be true. We publish your prices, hours and claims as given.
- You're responsible for the rules of your own trade. Licensed trades, clinics, lawyers and realtors all have advertising rules their college or board enforces — we'll build what you ask for, but we can't know your profession's rules better than you do.
- If you send us something you don't own and it causes a problem, that one lands on you, not us.
9. About the AI chat
Site Chat answers using the information you give us and is instructed to say it doesn't know rather than guess. It is still software, and it can be wrong or misunderstand someone.
- Check what it says about prices and availability the same way you'd check a new receptionist in their first week.
- It is not medical, legal, financial or safety advice, whatever a visitor asks it, and it isn't for emergencies.
- Conversations are stored so you can read them and so we can improve the service, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
- You can turn it off, hand a conversation to a person, or have it forward to your phone at any time.
10. What we don't promise
We build good sites. We do not promise a position in Google, an amount of traffic, a number of phone calls, or any particular amount of new business. Anyone who does promise you that is guessing.
We aim to have a first version to look at within a few days, but that's a target, not a guarantee — and it depends on how quickly you get us what we ask for.
We keep the site online and back it up, but no host is perfect. If something goes wrong our responsibility is limited to what you've paid us in the previous twelve months, and we aren't responsible for lost profits or lost business. Nothing here limits anything that can't legally be limited.
11. Showing your site to others
We may show your finished site as an example of our work — on our website, in a post, or to someone deciding whether to hire us. That's it: the site as the public sees it. Never your enquiries, your customers or your numbers. Say the word and we'll leave you out of it, no explanation needed.
12. How we work
We use AI tools and occasionally subcontractors to produce the work. Either way it's our job to deliver it and our name on it, and the ownership terms above don't change.
13. The legal bits
- This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, with disputes heard in the courts of British Columbia.
- If we need to change these terms we'll email you at least 30 days first. If you don't like the change, leave — the 30 days' notice above still applies and you'll owe nothing extra.
- This sits alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where this page and the general Terms disagree about a website build, this page wins.
- Neither of us can hand this agreement to someone else without the other agreeing, except if a whole business is sold.
